Morpheus8 Skin Tightening
What is Morpheus8 and how does it work?
Morpheus8 is the latest innovation in non-surgical skin tightening. Morpheus8 is a fractional skin treatment device that utilizes radiofrequency energy to remodel and contour the face and body through subdermal adipose remodeling stimulating collagen production. By targeting the deeper layers of the skin, the building blocks will reorganize themselves in a natural anti-aging process. There is little to no damage to the dermis and this procedure provides an extremely uniform effect.
Despite being applied externally, this fractional treatment is able to penetrate deep into the skin and fat with a potent combination of tiny needles and fractionated radiofrequency energy for a smoother and sleeker appearance. This exceptional technology allows our trained medical staff to target the different layers of the patient’s skin resulting in a face recontouring. This will trigger the skin’s natural healing response to promote tightening, lifting, and relaxing elastic areas for a dramatic overall rejuvenation.
What areas can be treated?
Morpheus8 can be used on any areas that can benefit from sub-dermal renewal. Areas of the face and body that exhibit wrinkles, inflammatory hyperpigmentation, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone and texture, blemishes such as melasma, stretch marks, or acne scarring are suitable for treatment. The most commonly treated areas include the face and neck, as well as the abdomen, thighs, legs, and buttocks.
Can anyone use Morpheus8?
The benefit of Morpheus8’s color blind technology is that it can be used on all skin types. The unique properties allow even darker tones to be treated with little risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which is common with other resurfacing methods.
Who is the best candidate for this procedure?
Those who are looking to smooth fine lines and creases, improve texture and minimize sun damage, without going for a more invasive treatment could benefit from Morpheus8. Most healthy women and men are good candidates for treatment.
How quickly will I see results?
Visible results can be seen within a few days, but typically after three weeks the most noticeable results appear with improvements continuing up to three months after treatment. Patients should expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment and slight redness for up to 1 week depending on treatment parameters. You should be able to reapply makeup within two days following the treatment.
How many treatments are necessary?
The number of treatments you will need depends on the condition of your skin and the skin concerns that are being addressed. For basic rejuvenation for age related concerns like skin laxity, wrinkles, and dark spots, you will probably need about three treatments spaced one month apart to achieve your goals. With that being said, treatment times and frequency will be specifically tailored to obtain optimal results.
Can this be used in combination with other treatments?
Yes, Morpheus8 can be used in the same treatment session or a few days after other treatments. Morpheus8 can also be combined with other InMode energy treatments such as the Lumecca IPL or injectables to achieve more extensive results.
What kind of post procedure care is required?
Patients should moisturize the treatment area, avoid direct sun exposure and use a good broad spectrum sunscreen (SPF 35 or higher) every day. Avoiding strenuous exercise and hot water or steam is also recommended. In addition, patients will also need to temporarily stop using chemical exfoliants and products containing retinol for at least 48 hours after treatment.
How long will it last?
Ultimately, your results will last for as long as you take excellent care of your skin, which means wearing sunscreen daily, managing acne breakouts, and using skincare products appropriate for your skin concerns.
